Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Urgent Care Center - Hamilton Creek

I had a bad experience with Hamilton Urgent Children’s Healthcare. My child started having a bad allergy — watery, itchy eyes and a runny nose. He was also starting to cough. After I got off work, he developed a fever, so I gave him Tylenol and took him to Hamilton Urgent Care. The staff were very nice. But they made us wait almost two hours in the front lobby. Finally, they called my son’s name and we went into the room to see the doctor… and then we waited another 20 to 30 minutes. The room was very small and felt stuffy. We kept waiting and waiting. Eventually, I asked if it would be okay to leave the door open because it felt so uncomfortable in there. We waited another five minutes after that — in total, it had been over two hours. All of the staff, nurses, and doctors that helped my daughter tonight were so kind and supportive. They made several stressful procedures as comfortable as possible. It was our first time in, and everything was clean and well organized. I hope there won’t be a need to come back in the future, but if there is, I would confidently bring my daughter here again.

We brought our 17-month-old here for the first time this evening and had such a pleasant experience when it comes to a sick visit. Everyone including the front desk, nursing, and assistants were so friendly and kind to my child. We saw Dr. Schroeder and she was great. She answered all of our questions and I felt like she truly took our time seeing him even though technically the office closed while we were there. I’m so thankful for their team and that they took such great care of us. Would definitely recommend.

Doctor Jo and her nurse TaShonna (I hope i am spelling that right) were amazing! Very attentive, very engaged in conversation & listened to what I had to say and made me feel very heard! I appreciated them so much and the help they gave my son! The front desk and other PA that helped us check in and get our vitals were very upbeat and encouraging as well. Not the type of place you want to spend your time often given the reason you’re there, but with these types of employees, it makes the times it seem less daunting!

Thank you to Dr. Schroeder, nurse Anita, the other nurses and admin staff!! Great experience- everyone was kind to us, very low wait times with swift and thorough care with everything explained so clearly. Thank you for helping our baby get better. We will be coming there again if we need to!!!
