Children's Dental Center of Central Iowa

My four children go here! I love them so much. Yesterday my son had a literal emergency with his spacer sticking out of his mouth and a bar coming out like it was a stick or a lollipop. We walked in and told them please I have no appointment but we need help. They put it back in place And referred me to the other location, found me an appointment as soon as possible in which they were able to take care of me. Honestly, yesterday was amazing. I was so happy they were able to see me and Everyone always greets me with a smile. I’ve tried many dentists and this location and the other are genuinely one of the Best

Had a great experience! Our 2 year old gets terrified at the dentist but they did an awesome job making us all comfortable and didn’t push anything we weren’t comfortable with. They could see our kiddo was worked up and didn’t force the scraping of plaque and floss this time and went at his pace so he would feel confident coming back.

The dental hygienist was very rough with my 3-year-old son pinning his head between her body and arm for no reason as he wasn’t moving. She also was turning his head forcefully. The dentist called the fluoride treatment “vitamins” which is entirely inaccurate and does not provide informed consent of what it truly is to the parents. Will not be back and wouldn’t recommend this dentist to anyone that wants a positive experience.

Do not waste your time or money at this practice. Because of their lack of staffing and disorganization, our appointments were constantly cancelled the morning of. They called and cancelled appts at least 10 times. This office “didn’t have an orthodontist” for 3 months straight. The new orthodontist came from out of town to see patients like twice a month so we were forced to work around their schedule. This has left my son with his braces on much longer than they originally an anticipated. The care we have received at Stork Orthodontics (with my daughter’s braces) has been wonderful. 10/10. Take your money to any other private practice. This place is so unprofessional and unorganized.

I’ve been pleased with the services. The facility is always clean and welcoming. Parents are allowed to be in the visits with toddlers, then children transition to going into the back with Orthodontist alone at around school age. I admit I was surprised by the policy but I have learned to trust them as they are always diligent and great with kids. My son loves the entertainment provided in the waiting room and in the offices.
