Children's Colorado Urgent Care, Southeast Aurora

I would highly recommend taking your kids anywhere else before going to this facility. They engage in deceptive billing practices to double bill in an attempt to circumnavigate co-pays. A few weeks after our appointment, both Children's and CU Medicine attempted to bill me. After calling my insurance provider they shared that Children's was our standard co-pay for the appointment, while the CU Medicine bill was an "outpatient appointment". I am actively disputing this issue because I fail to see how a co-pay for an urgent care visit only covers entering the building, which then opens you up to additional bills for services. STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN!

On Thursday, my daughter cut her eyebrow open at school. As a mom, I was absolutely terrified. I thought I was gonna have to go to children’s Hospital. But the doctors and nurses here were able to take care of my little girl. They provided juice and snacks to help her feel better. While it took a while to get her to calm down enough to get the stitches. Everyone was so helpful and calming to my little girl. I can’t remember the doctor or the nurses names, but I am extremely grateful for them. They helped calm me down as well. Just a huge thank you From me and my family 🩷

My son had a fever and a full-body rash, so I brought him to see the doctor. We checked in at the front desk, and everyone was waiting in line for the nurse to call their names. Behind us, another parent checked in with their child and was also waiting. When it was supposed to be our turn, a nurse came out, looked at us, and then walked over to the other parent. They were friends, and their conversation sounded like, “Did you miss me? How have you been?” After chatting, the nurse went back inside without calling us in. After a while, that same nurse came out again and surprisingly called in the family who had checked in after us. Great experience from checking in, to the nurse, and the doc. Everyone was great with my 14 month old and was very kind. Facility was nice and clean too!

⚠️ PARENTS BEWARE ⚠️ Misleading Billing & Unethical Intake Practices Do not be misled by the name “Children’s Colorado Urgent Care – Southeast Aurora.” Despite the signage and marketing clearly identifying this facility as an Urgent Care, your visit will be billed to your insurance as an Emergency Room visit. This means you may be charged twice: •    Once for your standard outpatient co-pay •    Then again with a surprise bill coded as an “Emergency Visit” even though this location does not operate 24/7 or meet the standard definition of an emergency facility. Parents should know that this practice can lead to unexpected, high-cost bills, especially when seeking quick, non-emergency care for a child. It’s misleading and financially harmful. 🧾 Concerning Intake Practices During check-i
