The doctor canceled the first appointment, the second appointment they canceled altogether after I had built my entire appointment schedule around that appointment. The third schedule appointment that they rescheduled, I took the afternoon off to be there. Upon arrival, they required payment, but I didn’t have my HSA card with me (my wife has it today). I asked them to bill me. They said no. At this point, my insurance covers 80% of the bill. Wouldn’t they rather have 80%, and bill me for the 20%? I got frustrated and just walked out. As a result of this, they had an empty appointment slot because I left, but would have been guaranteed the 80% from my insurance if they were worried about billing. What stinks, the PA, Jared is amazing.

I had yet another major Spinal Fusion (L5-S1 Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion along with a Posterior Spinal Fusion) done on 8/17/22 at Northside Hospital. I was told by my doctor and his staff and nurses, that I would also meet Dr. Moomey, who would be the Vascular Surgeon responsible for cutting my stomach open and moving everything out of the way in order for my Orthopaedic Surgeon (Dr. Middlebrooks) to complete the fusions safely. I had a lot of questions to ask Dr. Moomey prior to and after surgery, and I eagerly wanted to meet him and speak to him about several important questions prior to and also after having this major procedure done. I asked on several different occasions, if and when I would meet Dr. Moomey and was told that I would definitely meet him. It is now almost (4) days

I have a blood clot in my foot and was treated at gwinette Medical in Lawrenceville by Dr.Moomy he is a very pleasant Dr and is genuinely concerned about his patients. He is still currently treating me for aftercare from the hospital.He is up front send honest and let me know what to expect.His nurses and staff were kind and compassionate. I would highly recommend this Dr. And the office in Gainesville thankyou so much

I have a friend that Dr. Moomey did a surgery on a placed a stent in his abdomen. It worked for 3 years and then the stent failed. It fell apart inside him and he passed away due to internal bleeding. The doctor that tried to save his life 3 years later after the stent failed was very irate. He asked what doctor had placed this stent and she told him it was Dr. Moomey. It turns out that the stent was on recall due to known failures and nobody decided to inform them. The Doctor said this stent should of never been used for this situation and that the doctor that used it should have known better and should lose his license. He died just because of this careless mistake that Dr. Moomey made. They knew the stent was recalled and did nothing to inform anyone.

Dr.Moomey is a skilled surgeon and takes time with his patients to provide explanations and options for vascular issues to be best addressed.
