I went to the er in the hospital since I was advised to if I did not see improvement taking omeprazole for a week after going to a walk in clinic. When I went in and tried to explain the situation it felt like the doctors blew me off. They did not give any follow up instructions or make me an appointment to see what’s going on. They left me in the room for hours and did not really help clarify what’s going on just tried to give me more anti acid without even knowing if I had high acid. Then basically charged me for sitting in the room with no help. I understand they could have had more serious things going on but this is still not real patient care. I can’t just live on multivitamins.

This hospital is a mess from the ED to most of the practices. When you try to lodge a complaint you get gaslit and get no help. I've had good interactions with urology and radiology. I really wish there was a choice that didn't mean driving over an hour although I'm slowly switching to Maine Health for specialists. My PCP is also terrible, but I don't want to have to go to Portland, but I'm beginning to think I have no choice if I want decent health care. St Mary's is even worse.

My grandmother was in excruciating pain that cannot be described. She was supposed to be in the hospital for 10 days but got kicked out after day 3. No support, no assistance, horrible care, and the nurses disacknowledged her and neglected her. She got kicked out of the hospital because of patients that “needed care more” and that they were a “higher priority.” I can’t believe how they treated my grandmother. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

I recently had an elective surgery at CMMC. The attention to cleanliness and detail was insanely good. I never would have believed it based on my experiences in the ED. The pre-op nurses and genuinely every person who I interacted with was truly great. They were real, professional, comforting and relatable. CMMC needs to recognize their assets.

My newborn was assaulted at this hospital. Staff was very well informed not to vaccinate her and they did it anyway, And I only found out three years later when her actual doctor mentioned to me the vaccine(s) she’d been given at birth which were noted in the paperwork (Not any paperwork that I ever saw!) A few years prior I had to explain to a nurse exactly why I did not medically need a RhoGam shot. She argued with me as to why I needed it, and I literally had to break it down and explain it to her, and she then had to go check with a supervisor. She came back in apologizing to me and telling me she’s glad I advocated for myself (so good on her but holy……………. 🙏).
