I see Dr. Thronaum who has been great. Getting two medications approved through insurance has been a nightmare. They do not answer when you call and do not call back when you leave a voicemail. It is over 10 days before getting a message back on MyChart. I was told my insurance was not active so they could not do a prior auth, when it was indeed very active. I spent time on the phone calling my insurance to make sure it was. It seems like it was a way for the nurse to not have to file the grievance on it. I am debating switching to a different clinic as the service has been horrible. I have been waiting to get two meds approved for over 6 months!

During my last debilitating migraine (November), my daughter was calling for me (I was unable to call) - left messages, and a nurse from Urgent care also called. No one answers, and no one returns a call. The fact that this is a headache center and someone is not there to at minimum answer a call and direct it somewhere seems counterintuitive.

Pure frustration! I called in June 2025 for an appointment. Wasn't able to get in until November. I get a call 2 hours before my November appointment that they had to cancel it. I was then told I couldn't be seen until June of 2026. Horrible patient care!

I saw the provider Alissa Wigen here today & she was VERY helpful! I have several chronic health issues & so I've seen plently of doctors over the course of my life and very few I have encountered have been as helpful, knowledgable, and thorough as she was. She bothered to look at my previous history prior to our first appointment together, which I can definitely say most doctors don't seem to care to do. She was very good at explaining care treatments & what I should do going forward. She also didn't seem rushed to move onto her next appointment. I really appreciate her & would recommend her to anyone else struggling with headaches/migraines! Phone system here kind of sucks, but it is what it is for the time being.

I was told when I started with the clinic that if I had a severe migraine that won't go away, I can call and get in for same day injections to help. I've done this several times over a few years and for the last year or so, it's been nearly impossible to contact the clinic. No one answers the phone and if you do get a hold of them, the nurses won't answer so you can't schedule anyway. To have to play phone tag with a severe migraine is an awful experience. They're very helpful once I'm in but same day care has become almost impossible. Since others have said the same and Centracare claimed to be addressing the issue on a review 10 months ago, clearly they haven't fixed the problem. If I had access to another headache clinic, I'd go elsewhere.
