Centra Lynchburg General Hospital

Let me just start by saying that the first time I came here it was not a good experience at all the wait was crazy, the doctor that took care of my daughter I feel that she didn’t know what she was doing and not care at all. I came today and I’m going to be honest I was scared that I was going to sit in here for hours and hours, but no this time I see different nurses and they took care of me and my child immediately they put so much care & love. This hospital might be under new management let’s give this hospital a chance. Today I have an awesome experience nurse was caring it was fast. I also noticed they was super busy today please have patience it seems like they are doing their best. I really appreciate all the care they give to my daughter today thank you so much to the awesome nurse

Just moved to Lynchburg and had an emergency. Couldn't see out of my eye and had my whole left side of my face swollen. Had to wait over 2 hours just to have blood work and then longer for the CT Scan. After that they said they dont have anyone on the weekend to view the imaging so they have some place in north Carolina do it and said id have to wait 15 minutes to 2 hours just for results so I asked if they could gove me access online to my results. Was given a pamphlet and told I could look on there. Can't even access the portal. I called the hospital and they state they can't give you the results. Would highly recommend to go to any other hospital on the area or go to Bedford or Roanoke

Got here at 2 pm signed in immediately and they just got me back to see a doctor at 9:30 pm this hospital is a joke. Don't bother to go there unless you are not seriously hurt or ill. Oh, they have me in a chair not a room with a bed.

These ED Physicians treat patients with Edie alerts and other medical issues unprofessional. I have serious chronic illnesses which require daily monitoring at home. Have COPD CHF and other cardiac and medical issues. I’ve had less than professional care in the ED. A provider and charge nurse have recently come into my bay and stated (you were just here). Yes. And maybe if I had been treated appropriately I wouldn’t have been back. Ive been sent home with high blood pressures. Nothing given to me to lower before discharging me. I am a high risk patient. Now with centra palliative care. LGH unfortunately is closest hospital to me. I dread going to the ED due to the way I’m disrespected and treated by supposed professionals.After you wait for hours they get you back to a bay and want you o

My husband injured his eyeball severely to the point where he could’ve lost his vision completely. Thank goodness we followed up with another doctor the day after being there. Took them 9 hours to see him in the ER. He got there at 11pm and they didn’t see him until 8am.There were other people waiting there for just as long as well. You pay all that money for EMERGENCY services…to wait that long and not get treated to the best of their abilities? What a rip off. They should be reported.
