The most horrible nursing home, that my loved one ever experienced. Staff over dosing of insulin. And/or under dosing. Food was not a type 1 diabetic diet. Wound care was not followed, as per own wound specialist. They ignore patients needs. Pt. and family continued to ask for a social worker, because we have advocated to no avail. and needed help. We were told No Social worker for months (even though this is against MA law, especially with bed count). Did not produce a Social worker, until called MA liaison. But really Social worker was nasty, uncaring and gaslighting, did absolutely nothing. English is not thier first language. All staff extremely difficult to understand with language barrier. Head nurse, floor nurse and administrative gaslight. Building is substandard, equipment old.
I was transferred to Cedarwood Gardens from the hospital for rehab. Although the facility is in serious need of some updates, the Care I received was very good. The nurses and most of the aides were wonderful and took good care of me. I would suggest that the owner take better care of the staff and make some much needed updates! There is no central air conditioning in this facility. They do put air conditioners in the resident’s rooms, But there is insufficient air-conditioning in the common areas, which makes it impossible for the staff to be comfortable. They work very hard and deserve to have better air conditioning and an updated workplace!
My mother lived at this facility for 10 months. It was a very difficult time for her, but we had no other choices. Each time I visited, she told me she wanted to die. The facility is old and in bad condition. The staff, including the administrators, are very unprofessional and lack proper training. My mother was brought here with the promise that she would be moved closer to home as soon as a bed was open. We were told she was at the top of the list and that the Admissions Coordinator, Michelle, was regularly in touch with other facilities. When my mother was finally moved, thanks to my efforts, we discovered that this was not true. They checked on her transfer only once in 10 months. During her time there, she developed several infections and severe swelling in her legs, which the nursin
Our father (James Edwards) arrived at Cedarwood Gardens on 1/20/23. He was there for 2 weeks for a bad infection in his elbow. I would like to extend our gratitude to the staff for their exceptional care for our father's medical needs. Most especially our appreciate to Tiffany & Amanda for their compassion, kindness, caring & how empathetic they were in helping our father back to recovery. Thank you to them & the rest of the medical staff for what you do daily for our loved ones. 😍 Robin Edwards Van Valkenburg
This place is so unprofessional. The staff did not know what they’re doing, nice but does not know what they’re doing. My brother almost died here. If it was not for me being there and making sure they called 911 because he stop breathing he would've died. Even the Doctor at the hospital told me, if “you would've left him there 5 more minutes, he would've died.” The man Eric that was working that night, was outside smoking a cigarette while my brother was taken out on a stretcher and not breathing. He did not even ask me, is he ok or if we were ok (me and my aunt) He did not care at all what was going on. When he was suppose to be running the floor with another nurse Rachel. Rachel was the only one that knew what she was doing and was kind enough to call 911. She had to yell at all the sta
