Immediately from entering the office I was greeted with smiles and professionalism. Dr Lappas was easy to talk to and knowledgeable. He made the appointment very comfortable. His nurses and assistants are all friendly and kind. They make your visit so much more relaxed than most places. I am lucky to have been referred to Cary Gastro for my health needs.

This place is amazing. Amazingly conceited and full of their selves. Specially Dr Brody has the poorest attitude of any medical provider I have met in a very long time. I waited weeks for an appointment only to be turned away after walking in and presenting myself to the receptionist 5 minutes after my appointment time. Just enough time for my wife to use the restroom. How asinine and rude can someone be. If anything, this should be a 5 star review because of the bullet I dodged. If 3-5 minutes has a bearing on whether I’m seen or not it’s a sign of the level of service that is to be expected. Never again.

I called this office today 5/15 at 4.45, the phone rung for a good 1 minute with no answer, I called back again and the phone rung and rung, a lady came to the phone did not say who she was, and said “can I help you” I told her the reason of my calling, she asked for my phone number and she said “just a minute” she placed me on hold until 4.59 when the automated msg said our office is closed. Wow!!!This already a red flag to me, I was seeking for an appointments but I will have to go somewhere else. That was so rude, you are lucky you didn’t say your name!! Whoever that was go home and I hope you think twice of what you just did!! Your office manners deserves a 0 rating. I work in the healthcare field. This is unacceptable behavior. I could not even give you 1 star. I’ve been an RN for 21 years serving in the Cary and Raleigh areas in critical medicine, have never had a history of anything but having 6 children. Have suffered with abdominal pain for over 6 months without any diagnosis and hoped to get a second opinion as I saw the first GI visit ever in my life a couple weeks ago and realized you were much closer with good reviews. When I called your office the receptionist told me I could not be seen there unless I hadn’t been seen by any GI doctor in a year and your office “absolutely didn’t support second opinions and you didn’t want to step on toes of other GI docs.” In all my 21 years of nursing, in my 48 years of life as a mom of six I’ve only had one GI consult ever and it was 2 weeks ago. Dr Furs and his staff are simply the best. They make you feel comfortable. There is no doubt that they genuinely care about your health. They take the time to explain everything so that the patient understands. They always respond to questions quickly. Would not want any other doctor.
