The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because of 2 people, Al and Joyce! If it wasn’t for them, my dad would have been even more miserable than he was. I hope Al and Joyce get some recognition because they were the only 2 people who gave honest care for my dad. They always greeted me and were friendly. Al made sure my dad’s bed was made when he would go to his physical therapy which was so kind. Joyce always came and talked to my dad and gave such a loving presence and always made sure he was clean and was getting all the care he needed. I deeply appreciate both of them more than they will ever know. If they see this, Dennis really appreciates everything from you guys and misses you! Now, down to the reasons this place really deserves no stars. This place has an odor like no o

Extremely disappointed with the complete lack of leadership and communication from Cartersville Center for Nursing and Healing ahead of the expected snowstorm on January 24th–25th, 2026. While every other facility in the State of Georgia has clearly communicated storm preparedness plans, staffing contingencies, and safety protocols, Cartersville Center has done nothing. No plan. No guidance. No reassurance. Just silence, followed by panic-inducing, poorly written text messages sent to CNAs, filled with typos and pressure tactics about why they should not call out or fail to show up. This approach is not leadership; it’s intimidation. Yes, residents’ safety and care must always come first. But that does not give management the right to minimize or disregard the safety and well-being of t

Absolutely horrible facility. My grandma was brought there via ambulance from the hospital. She was greeted after spending over 10 minutes waiting by a staff member who “had no idea you were coming” the staff member then proceeded to bring her into a room with two other patients, where the area looked like one patient was there, left, and then nothing was cleaned. When the ambulance staff went to leave she asked how the oxygen situation would work due to her being required to have 4 liters 24/7. The same staff member then said “we do not have oxygen” when she explained the oxygen requirements she left to find something to work. She returned with a portable air machine that would turn off every 5 minutes, need to be turned off and back on again every time, understandably this is completely

Health care in America is cruel and it’s a shame that older people aren’t taken care of better. But I will give much credit and gratitude to the staff. My wife was there for three weeks with a broken hip. Allen was great and Sara the physical therapist was very competent. The staff in general was very caring under less than ideal circumstances. My wife is home now recovering well. Thankfully there are still good people in the world.

Everyone welcomed me with a smile as I walked in—it was such a pleasant surprise, especially considering what people often say out there! The environment was very clean and well-maintained. My orientation was extremely exciting with Jasmine. We were served lunch, and the Chef was very professional. The Director of Nursing even came out to ensure everything was running smoothly. I was very pleased with all the staff at Cartersville Nursing. Keep up the great work!
