CareNow Urgent Care - Crossroads

Personally I still like that they kept their online appointment set up from Covid days and still require you to wait in the car. For the most part they are pretty good at honoring your appointment time slot. Only on one occasion I had to wait 30min past my slotted time. I think the PA’s here are great. They listen to your needs and don’t seem to be rushed or careless. I agree with other reviews that the front receptionist is not friendly at all, and he seems annoyed and passive aggressive all the time. (Frequent patient here) Lastly, I do think the exam rooms need to be cleaned as they are always super dirty and dusty; floors are always pretty bad as well. See photos.

This is one of those “if I could give zero stars I would.” I’ve never received worse care or been treated so poorly by a medical provider. DO NOT go to this urgent care, and if you do & NP Benedict Okafor is your provider, request a new one or leave immediately. The place is now called CareNow. I've been waiting for over an hour inside the room, despite having an online appointment. Additionally, I encountered an Indian pm nurse who did not exhibit professionalism. When I inquired about my sore throat, she appeared insecure and showed no sympathy for my pain, which was quite unprofessional.

This location used to be excellent when it operated as Community Urgent Care, but since becoming CareNow, my experience has been extremely disappointing. I brought my son in for an ear infection and we were seen by NP Kristen Cox. After receiving a text notification that it was our turn to come in, we still waited an additional two hours before being seen. I completely understand that urgent care centers can experience unexpected delays due to emergencies — that part is understandable. However, when I respectfully mentioned that we had already been waiting and that I had a work meeting to attend, Kristen responded in a dismissive and rude manner. Last Wednesday, I fell in my back patio and I injured my left hip. My husband took me to CommunityMed Family Urgent Care at Crossroads, Texas. The clerk was very polite and helpful. The nurse Angela was so nice and caring. The Dr. Benedict Okafor treated me so professionally that I really had confidence in what he told me and prescribed me. I highly recommend you their services. The staff is professional and diligent.
