Care365 North - Pomona

Last night my husband and I brought my 84 year old mother to care 365 in Pomona. It was a Sunday night at 8 pm and this was the closest Urgent care that was opened. We had never been there before. We went because my mother had a wound on her leg that we did not feel we could wait until the morning. My mother was taken in right away and there was a wonderful PA named Dan that fixed her up better than we could have expected. Who would have thought on a Sunday night at 8pm the practitioner that would help us would be an expert in wound care! He even gave my mom a tetanus shot and provided her with her first antibiotic pill. We were so appreciative and my mother got great care. I would definitely recommend Care 365 in Pomona to anyone. Went there one time when I had pains in my chest. As soon as I said that they were kind enough to tell me I needed to go to the hospital because they didn’t have the equipment I needed for them to help me. I appreciated that greatly instead of them making me wait until it was my turn, exam me and then tell me that they couldn’t help me like so many other places would have. The reason I gave only 4 stars was they didn’t offer to call an ambulance for me while I was holding my chest in pain. Had that been myself working there I would have called 911 and gotten an ambulance with or without the patients consent if I saw someone in as much pain that I was in. Other than that I never had to go there again. I did appreciate their honesty.

Dr Jeffrey Tennanbaum was nice and they got me in quickly, which I appreciate. But this was my first visit here and it was a bad experience. I’ve had this same corn on my pinky toe trimmed by other clinics a few times a year for that past few years and it never made me bleed — until now. This time it bled, and the cream he put on burned so badly I’m still in pain an hour later. I feel like making it bleed and using extra cream and medication was just a way to bill more to my insurance. He also asked if I wanted an X-ray for something so minor — no one ever suggested that before. It really feels like they care more about billing than proper patient care. They could really do better.

Waited an hour only to be told “we don’t deal with mouth and throat issues” at the end because apparently they’re “a diagnostic center not an urgent care.” Ridiculous because I told them that the reason for my visit was my throat as soon as I walked in.

I recently had an amazing experience at Care 365 in Pomona. My son wasn’t feeling well on erev Pesach and he seemed ok until a few minutes before sundown. By the time we made it there they were basically closed. Amber was so kind and restarted the computer and arranged for my son to be seen by Michael (the on call physician). Michael had already left but returned to treat my son! The treatment was great and they diagnosed him and had a few days supply of medication for us to use over the holiday. A cab was called but did not show up. Roslyn was so kind and gave us a ride home (which was only a few minutes away). Thank you so much! I highly recommend Care 356!
