I’ve been holding back in reviewing this place. Mostly because i want to give it the benefit of the doubt. But this place is by far the worst, my grandmother who had a minor stroke last year, the onslow memorial hosital sent her here. And this place were okay, but as of this year starting january, her appointment have been cancelled and she has been needing to see a cardiologist. And no phone call back to get rescheduled. No ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE. I have left voicemails since january up til now. Honestly don’t even bother with this place. You’re better off some other place.

I had to leave Dr. Nara's office after many years. Service went downhill, the girls working for him, they were rude, phone did not get answered, appointments were cancelled over and over. I was in distress and in ER, saw him after 2 cancelled appointments and was told I was fine. I knew better, switched doctors and within 2 days I got a pacemaker. Time for the "Team" to retire and close the doors.

I am compelled to share a deeply troubling experience my father, a retired Marine veteran, had at Dr. Nara’s office, in the hope that it might prevent another family from enduring a similar ordeal. Despite undergoing an EKG, stress test, and ECHO, accompanied by a week-long heart monitor, Dr. Nara consistently assured my father that there was nothing wrong with his heart, dismissing symptoms that suggested otherwise. Tragically, my father was admitted to Onslow Emergency Room on 12/12/2023 with a heart rate of 185, only to be transferred to New Hanover Regional Medical Center due to atrial fibrillation. Reviewing his medical records revealed an alarming ejection fraction of 30% back in September, a critical indicator that should have prompted immediate intervention. Shockingly, my father

I don't normally leave bad reviews, but this has had me so upset. If you like doctors that educate you about what's going on in your body I suggest you go somewhere else. Dr. Nara does seem like he cares, I'll give him that. But every time I tried to ask questions or ask what my test results were he would reply "normal". I don't think diastolic dysfunction, inappropriate sinus tachycardia, a stiff left ventricle, and a murmur is normal at 21 years old. And I only know that information because every time I left an appointment I requested the test results. My insurance also gets billed every office visit for "smoking cessation counseling" even though Dr. Nara hardly says two words to me the whole appointment, and has said nothing about smoking cessation. Have a 9:30 appointment on a Saturday and noone showed up. The door are locked! Keep in mind it took a week after I received my referral from Tricare to get someone on the phone to make an appointment. The doctor is actually very attentive tho but seems like noone else cares about the office.
