Cardiac Care Associates (Reston)

I have been a patient for about 3+ years & am glad that I found Dr Banihashemi. He has a great “bed-side manner”: he is personable, a good listener, and I never feel rushed. The office staff is friendly, efficient (no extended wait times - 15 mins is the longest I have experienced & only 1 time), and they return calls/replies to emails within 24 hours. They also have tele-visit options and online options for emailing staff, which is very convenient.

I got a $300 bill for a 10 minute virtual consult where no examination or diagnosis occurred within that timespan…. Despite the office telling me I was in network 😭. Check your itemized bills just to ensure yall aren’t paying for anything that did NOT occur during your visit bc this office gets a lil code happy once they push their claims 💔💔.

I have nothing but great things to say about this office. The staff are great and very friendly. The doctors care about you they listen and then chose what is the best care for particular need. What I love about them is they listen, and take the time to make sure you understand what they are talking about!

After the retirement of our Georgetown cardiologist, we were referred to a doctor at Cardiac Care. My partner saw a referred doctor who, after one visit (and no mention that he was retiring), also retired. We booked a new Cardiac Care doctor for the following week. Soon after, my partner got a call back that the appointment time scheduled was for NEW patients. Since we had seen the retiring doctor, we were not considered “new” and could not get the desired appointment for two months!!! Sounds like main interest was a money grab (yay, new patients) vs helping a patient see a doctor. Then! After getting settled with a new doctor, my partner wound up with the flu and a trip to the ER. The attending physician told him to stay off his blood pressure meds until he could see his cardiolo

Substandard care. My father saw Dr. Banihashemi, who was covering for Dr. Yager. The Dr. didn't review my dad's medical records and berated my dad for not knowing offhand his list of medications. It's your job you know that right? Dr. B continued to escalate the disagreement and my dad walked out with out receiving proper care. He scheduled a follow up for 6 months later which his new doctor's said "may not have been appropriate". He ended up in the hospital the next day. They really screwed up here.
