Caraday of Ft Worth

My Mother has been in the Memory care unit for a month now. The Nurses who work with her have been awesome, very patient and understanding. This is my first time dealing with having to have fulltime care for my Mother. She has specifically said she has been treated well by everyone but the food is not good were her exact words. The facility is very clean and there are no unpleasant odors like so many nursing facilities I have been in. My personal experiences with her Nurses has been comforting for me knowing they are a good fit for her. Thank you to all the Veranda Nursing staff !

Be careful! SO SCARY! It's not safe to even visit here!! My mom is currently at another nursing home but now needs memory care services. I visited Caraday before Christmas to check out the facilities. I DID NOT AGREE TO ANYTHING. It was just a visit. Ron took it upon himself to arrange to have my mom picked up from her current facility without any authorization let alone notification whatsoever! She was about to get in the van before her nurse thought to give us a call. Luckily, we were able to block her transfer. Unfortunately, this caused an extreme amount of distress and confusion to my mom, ultimately landing her in the ER. Its so scary to think what would have happened if they would have been successful. I would like to thank a few people that helped me get my mother comfortable at Caraday it was a very hard decision for my family, I have been taking care of my mother with dementia for 6 years at home and it got to a point where she needed 24hr care. So i decided to put mom where i work and that was the best decision i have made for her.Ron, Shelley and Cecilia i just want to thank you'll for your hard work and dedication getting mom comfortable. Ron thank you for always keeping me updated on everything and working hard to get mom transferred from home to the facility set up. It was stress free for us.Yall are AWESOME! ❤️

I would like to take a moment and thank the staff that took great care of my husband this past weekend. When I decided to take a 2 day trip with my sister it was really hard for me to make the decision to put my husband in a facility for Respite care. He was in a longterm care unit not this one during covid and it was a totally nightmare. Please, Please don't every determine a facility for your love one because it's new or even fancy. Caraday is a older care center but let me tell you. The staff greeted us when we entered the facility and they took excellent care of my husband. When we arrived home I asked him did they take good care of him and he raised his hand to signal yes. I asked him if I have to leave again would he be okay staying there for a few days and he signaled yes. I wanted

This place is a complete disaster. As far as the locked memory care unit for ladies is concerned, it is a horrible nightmare. My mother has been through so much hell at the hands of countless people in that unit. I am constantly getting calls about her falling/sliding out of her wheelchair. I witnessed her being yelled at by a nurse and had to intervene. Her clothing and personal items in her room have all but come come up missing.I have replaced them several times and they too have come up missing! I don't feel like she is safe there and I am working on moving her to another place.
