Capstone Urgent Care

I'd like to start this review by stating I live in Willow with extremely minimal medical services. My daughter had a minor accident falling into the corner of a door and slicing her knee leaving a fairly gaping cut. It was deep enough the skin would not close without a scar, so my husband decided to "rush" to urgent care in Wasilla considering it was late in the evening and there was a snow storm happening. Worried there wouldn't be many Urgent Care's open we made phone calls on the drive making sure somewhere would be open. We really did not want to make this and ER visit as I'm sure everyone can agree they do not want to spend any time in there unless it is and actual EMERGENCY. Everyone was very nice and the clinic is super efficient. I was in and out in about 45 minutes, with 15 of those being paperwork in the waiting room. I was called back to be roomed within 60 seconds of handing my paperwork in. Scott Schaffer (PA) not only actually spent the time to asses and explain thoroughly but was also very down to business and professional while being extremely kind and maintaining a lighthearted affect which made everything feel easier. Quickest and easiest urgent care visit I've ever had.

In 20 years of treating patients and 35 of dealing with customers, i don't recall ever being exposed to worse front desk staff or to a less patient centered provider. After i checked in, the front desk "unit" treated a cash paying mom with a sick child like she was a dirtbag for asking questions about cash pay. Med tech was amazing and x-ray tech was good. However, Roz and Shrek were sitting in the other 2 seats of front desk and PA so Capstone Urgent Care clinic is a NO for my fam from today forward...

Everyone in the clinic was super friendly and helpful. My wait time wasn't terrible, the clinic was clean and the provider got strait to the point with me. If I can't be seen again by my primary, I'll definitely be coming here.

Went here twice for the same issue. At 61 I suddenly began getting hives and was allergic to something. I'm healthy and do not have a "primary care" doctor because I don't need one. The first Dr. was great, the second time the Dr. was a jerk. 6 weeks later, still with the same problem - I asked for a referral to Valley Allergy. The second Dr REFUSED to give it and said I needed to get a "primary care" Dr. So for someone with no insurance... this jerk wants to add another few hundred to my estimated cost of $1800 at Valley Allergy... so he can make a point?? NEVER go to this place if you want ethics in your medical provider.
