Found this office while looking for a new endocrinology provider but after reading their billing policy another user uploaded and seeing how they attempt to nickel and dime you for anything they can think of, I will happily NEVER seek care from them. I have never in my life heard of an office charging patients for performing prior authorizations or to resend prescriptions to other pharmacies. That is the most blatant cash grab I've ever heard of and they should be ashamed of themselves for taking even more money from patients when healthcare costs are already through the roof. Horrible. There’s no one to talk to via phone so they do it through text. They said they didn’t find my referral so I had to send them a screenshot that yes it WAS sent and then they said oh yeah we found it. Then I had to send them all my labs because they didn’t have that either even though it should have been easily accessible. After all that, they say they reviewed my records and are not treating my diagnosis and that I need to find another endocrinologist. My diagnosis is blood sugar issues. What endo doesn’t treat that?!? Very strange and annoying. But it took so long to do all this texting process that thankfully I had already booked easily over the phone with really nice and professional staff at Texas Diabetes and Endocrinology. Jump through hoops to try to get an appointment. Here’s the actual conversation of me trying to get an appointment: “We never received your referral” “oh wait yes we did 2 months ago but now you need to have your provider fax bloodwork” “you can’t email them even though it says you can on the patient intake form you have to fax them”. Y’all are ridiculous. Been trying to simply schedule an appointment since the beginning of November. It’s now January. And yall don’t even care.

Inaccessible Doctor and Appalling Front Office Service. I have never met the doctor, only an assistant. My scheduled visit was ruined by the receptionist, who refused my new group insurance (presented on my phone) claiming it was "missing letters." She groaned, made no attempt to verify the policy with the insurer, and tried to tell me that a $100 cancellation fee could be added when I was forced to reschedule. My insurer later confirmed the documentation was correct. Avoid this practice if you value your time. Update - they have dropped me as a patient due to the above review. Be forewarned.

Very nice staff. And doctor is good at explaining what you need to do for better results. Always on top of my appointments and medication.
