Capital Area Pediatrics - Sleepy Hollow

The nurses are very lovely there. I love my Doctor, Dr. Ruff. She is lovely to work with and she is always very sweet with me. She has been helping me and my family for years now and every time we come she makes us feel welcomed. As a patient, Dr. Ruff always listens to me and makes me feel as though she truly cares about my well being and health, it’s hard to get that nowadays, most doctors just want patients to go in and out.

I am not able to give lower than 1 star. I would if I could. My kids all go to this practice. I have taken them here for years. Most recently my newborn daughter is a patient at this practice. I want to share my last and final experience with this office. The doctors here are generally good. Unfortunately billing, management, and the front office make this place a miserable place to deal with. The office manager who is most obviously afraid of any confrontation will not even return calls or deal with a problem when one arises. Today we took my daughter for her 4 month visit. We came to the office for her appointment and we were told that our insurance was not active. I called the insurance company to confirm coverage which was easily done. As always, Dr. Madoo did a great job with Kevin. She puts him at ease immediately and he really cooperates with her. She makes the exam fun for him and keeps his focus, which at 4 years old is no small feat!

Today was our first visit at Capital Area Pediatrics and we were very impressed! Plenty of parking, clean and bright office, and kind front desk and nursing staff. We were seen by Dr. Anna Magliolo and she was wonderful! She took time to listen to all of our concerns and offered helpful suggestions. We would definitely recommend her and the practice to others.

My daughter is extremely scared of going to the doctor when she’s sick, but Dr. Madoo was incredibly patient and thorough with her. She took the time to explain everything that was going on and used great techniques to help ease my daughter’s anxiety during the swab test. She was kind, attentive, and never rushed us, something that’s rare when there are so many kids to see. Thank you, Dr. Madoo, for your great care.
