Capital Area Oral Surgery

Just wanted to share my overall experience with Capital. From the moment I was evaluated to the moment they extracted my wisdom teeth I felt extremely comfortable and never anxious. I really appreciate the environment the team creates, they somehow made a procedure that is daunting feel like fun. Dr.Tom and his team feel more like a family than co-workers. Highly recommend capital for those who might have the pre-procedure jitters and need a team that alleviates that stress.

I showed up 20 minutes before my appt which was scheduled at 6pm? I was in the middle of filling my paperwork out and was taken back before 6. I was asked to clarify all my answers and they were aware I’ve had asthma since I was born. Then I get taken back for X-rays, which in the middle of it spinning, it malfunctions and they have to redo them. I get taken to the room where they will be doing two wisdom teeth removals. I requested to be given laughing gas because of my fear of not waking up from sedation. Because the doctor went past his time with another patient, the nurse didn’t have the dosage for my laughing gas. That’s when another lady walks in and takes the ONLY nitrous machine they have. The lady, Tam, (who was very sweet) yells “when you’re done, bring it so I can use it.” So mu

My son removed his 4 wisdom teeth in less than half hour. Dentist and office are very professional and very nice team. By the time my coffee is finish my son is already out and he did not feel or complaint from any pain…

I came to Capital Area Oral Surgery for a consult for my TMD. My jaw had locked overnight, and it would not open properly. Other places wanted to put me in braces (at 56 yrs of age!) to deal with this. Dr. Tom tried a less invasive approach with some medication to try and relax my jaw. After 2 weeks, I've seen amazing results. I am so glad to have found Dr. Tom and his amazing staff.
