Canyon Hills Treatment Facility

I entrusted Canyon Hills Treatment Facility with the safety and wellbeing of my son. That trust was shattered quickly and completely. What my son and I experienced left me furious, disgusted, and deeply concerned for every child inside those walls. Let me be clear: no parent should feel the level of anger and helplessness this place caused me. The leadership at this facility is unorganized, unprofessional, and shockingly unprepared for the responsibilities they hold. Communication is either delayed, contradictory, or nonexistent. Every attempt I made to get clear answers about my son’s care was met with excuses, deflection, or blank stares. If the people running this place can’t even communicate with parents, how can they possibly provide safe, consistent care for children in crisis?.

Nurse Lewis is the worst manager of nurses I have ever seen. My son never gets taken to the doctor, he tells me he constantly gets refused his medication, he’s said she also yells and curses at the children there. It has been told to me she puts kids in restraints for no reason at all! This is illegal, and if I had custody of my son, I would take him out of there so fast. She should be ashamed of herself, I have no clue how this is even allowed.

Awesome management with a very caring staff and made my decision making a lot easier. They were were very helpful in helping me understand the small things as well as the big things definitely recommend this facility!

If I could give it 0 stars I would, please think twice about ever using this place.
