Candler County Hospital

This was the worst experience my wife has ever had to go through with this hospital. The ER staff are incredibly rude including an RN that worked there this morning that refused to give her name and had her badge turned. My wife was denied anything for pain even though she was curled up crying in pain. We had to look on the paperwork to see the diagnosis, never saw a dr only this nurse and two students in practice. My wife asked to get me a work excuse since I brought her in and left my job from her unable to walk and I stayed outside in the car with our infant, didn’t want him exposed! My wife came to the car in tears saying she felt humiliated by this particular nurse. The nurse denied giving me a work excuse even though I was there and said since I wasn’t the patient it was highly quote

Today I had my mammogram. From the time I walked in the door till I walked out was a wonderful experience. I working health care but I am still always nervous when getting a preventive test. All the employees from receptionist to the radiology staff, were kind and attentive to make the experience comfortable. I will encourage anyone to visit Candler county hospital.

I was in an office and the young lady who was supposed to check me in, spent over 20 minutes trying to validate my insurance, and still couldn’t get it done. I have had blood tests there several times over the past few years, I was never treated as poorly as I was today. I had to ask for my insurance cards back and leave, before her incompetence wasted the rest of my day. My insurance is on file, has not changed, and is easily checked. I have no idea what this young lady was doing and I don’t think she did either. I will drive 30 miles to Statesboro rather than deal with her incompetence.

To all the ER staff from 7pm onward on 9/27 (time we arrived); Thank you all so much! From check-in through every part of his care, you were absolutely amazing. My father took a bad fall from a ladder and fractured some ribs, but you responded quickly, thoroughly, and with genuine compassion. You answered every question we had—and even addressed the ones we hadn’t thought to ask. We can’t thank you all enough for the way you treated him (and us). Your professionalism, kindness, and teamwork made a tough night so much easier!

This hospital took very good care of me. From the doctor to the nursing staff. Dr.Gladdis was very thorough and talked me through a tough procedure. I was scared and pretty shaken up and he made me feel like everything was going to be ok. The nurses made me feel as comfortable as they could bringing blankets and holding my hand when I needed it. I wish they had more funds to be a larger facility because they have the heart to take care of people the way that care should be. This hospital is much better than the larger hospitals, like memorial Savannah and the staff is far better.
