Do not go here!! Although everyone in the office is quite nice and very personable, they will attempt to scare you by laying out a multi-thousand dollar opaque dental plan at the end of your visit. I was skeptical about this and certainly don't have the money to afford some kind of crazy dental plan like that so I got a second opinion. The second dentist was much more welcoming and reasonable, letting me know exactly what was wrong with my teeth and gums and what I could do at home to fix it. They told me there was nothing wrong with my mouth requiring such drastic and expensive treatment and did not understand why anyone would recommend something like Dr. Shirley's office did. There are loads of options for dental offices in NYC. Don't pick this one.

Such a great Team, and such a great Dental Experience! And my daughter also goes here, I guess that she will be write her own review, but I know that she was very happy. She had an emergency and he saw her right away, and took care of her right away, and was able to follow through with everything she needed. I had standard issues and he was of great help as well. No nice to have someone with such a nice office close to my office with such good dental work! THANK GOODNESS!

Few people like going to the dentist! Dr. Shirley and his staff know this, so they do what they can to put you at ease. Whether it's greeting you by asking what Pandora station you want to listen to during your treatment, or taking the time to make sure you understand specific procedures so that you can make an informed decision--they clearly value and practice high quality patient-centered care.

The worst-I’m so glad I have found another dentist. Dr. Benjamin Shirley and his office are NOT in it to help people, they are in business to make money ONLY. I need medical professionals who care. They do not. They will not give you the care you need!!! See someone else!!!! Updated- Hello, Dr. Shirley, No you are obviously confusing me with another unhappy customer. I havn’t seen you for awhile. I stopped seeing you because of your no tolerance policy on rescheduling. I had been a steady customer until you and your office were very rude and not understanding when I had to reschedule. I have been going to Dr. Shirley's office for a couple of years now, and have had a good experience every single time. He is friendly, patient, professional, efficient, and clear in his explanations. Everything you want a good dentist to be.
