Brookvale Pharmacy

A medical center should have personal who can translate to the diverse population that they are serving. In my visit I witnessed how frustrating this is to their patients. There was a couple waiting for their results and after waiting in the waiting room for over 30 minutes they were told that they could leave. I saw confusion in the patients face, so I translated for them and they thought that they were going to get their results but apparently that was not the case and if the right information was communicated to them in the right language then this frustration wouldn’t have happened. This is a medical institution that needs to provide their community with the right communication skills. You need to provide translators to your patients. I can only imagine how often this happens.

Brookvale is eveything a private pharmacy used to be, that Medicorp and Pharmacorp are trying their damndest to get rid of. Their patients are persons to them rather than some kind of generic source of 'money'. We like it that way.
