Bridgeport Oral and Implant Surgery Center

Everyone here is very pleasant and I felt very much at ease. They communicate openly and listened to my needs. As a person with high anxieties and poor experiences with dentists in the past, I am extremely grateful for the safe space and care that I experienced here. My oral surgery was extensive, and this was THE BEST oral surgeon to entrust my surgery to. I will refer everyone to him. Thank you Dr. Wood!!

[***Will gladly update if they make this right***] I should have heeded the bad reviews I needed URGENT care for a mysterious lesion in my mouth (as suggested by my dentist). I called any and every oral surgeon in the area for the quickest path to a biopsy. This location was able to see me soon for a consultation where the doctor said he wanted to rule out oral melanoma and would schedule me for a biopsy asap. Unfortunately, almost immediately after the doctor had to go on leave for a family emergency but then scheduling said I couldn't get a refund since he was out. I call back 3 weeks later and learn that "management" had already decided I can't get a refund (would have been nice if I was notified of said decision). REVIEW: I want to preface this review by saying I’m sure doctor Wood definitely has the skill to treat his patients however, his staff operations is completely missing the mark with both out patient care and administration. It definitely feels like a profit over people medical facility. If that bothers you, you may need to look somewhere else. Though his staff are polite and professional in demeanor that doesn’t transfer to their capabilities performing administrative work and communication. I have a pre-existing condition that doesn’t allow me to take certain medications and the staff and even Dr. Wood misunderstood my condition and gave me medication that would have had a higher chance to cause my pre-existing condition to worsen, leading to more unnecessary medical care. Dr. Wood is highly knowledgeable and skilled, ensuring that you receive top-notch care. I highly recommend this practice for anyone seeking professional and compassionate oral surgery services!

Very disappointed with their last-minute cancellations. they state they called 3x to get a verbal confirmation for an appointment which I never received any calls. They also mentioned they sent multiple text messages to confirm the appointment which were never received. the only message received was the day of the appointment 3 hours before saying my appt was cancelled. when I called, they said we could no longer be seen and that they needed to reschedule due to no verbal confirmation. Not going back for sure
