We saw the 3.1-star rating but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. For a year, things were fine, but you don't truly know a practice until a "corner case" or a difficult day arises. It’s how you are treated during the "bad times" that creates a lasting impression. On a recent snow day, we arrived 4 minutes late. Despite the hazardous driving conditions, Dr. Jaeger refused to see us. Had an appointment for my newborn 2 week follow up appointment only to arrive and be notified that they were not in-network with my insurance. There was a note in the chart that we could not be seen but no phone call or communication on this occurred until we arrived. We then asked if we can just pay out of pocket since the appointment was time sensitive - to be told they do not allow self pay and we couldn’t be seen. To make a family travel to the doctor with a 17 day old baby to then turn them away with no guidance - only a card for the business office. Terrible patient care and communication, especially for new parents.

I have been going to BMC for nearly 20 years, and have always had really wonderful experiences. I have always seen Dr Abair for my OBGYN needs and she is incredible - always very kind, thorough and helpful. I had my first baby a little over 2 years go and she was so great through the whole process. I typically see Dr. Pinto for my primary care needs and he is just the best. He always goes above and beyond to figure out what's going on - he even walked me over to imaging once because he could tell I was really stressed (and talked me through the whole thing). It's hard to find good doctors, but this place has always done great. I now drive almost 30 minutes to get there, just because they are that awesome.

I can’t say enough about how great Dr. Huynh and the staff are. I started seeing Dr. Huynh almost two years ago, and in that time she’s provided very thorough and individualized care for me, including through my second pregnancy and a successful VBAC delivery. She was very attentive and always made me feel like my wellbeing was a priority, ensuring that I had everything I needed to make sure I was healthy (physically and mentally) AND happy. Whenever I needed something, I was able to either get an appointment or communicate quickly through MyChart, ensuring I never went too long with my concerns. However, the administrative and billing staff have become increasingly frustrating and unhelpful in recent years, turning routine tasks into major ordeals. Prescription refills require multiple calls each month, with no callbacks despite their 48-hour policy, often forcing me to escalate just to get my medication. Billing surprises have been the worst: a routine checkup two years ago led to an unexpected $800 charge for a simple mole biopsy, and this year's annual med check—lasting only five minutes—was coded as an "advanced diagnostic visit," resulting in a $170 bill instead of my usual $25 copay.
