My veterinarian recently prescribed medication to help manage my small dog’s cough. After reviewing X-rays, the vet advised me to start the medication, Tussagon (hydrocodone/Homatropine), immediately because the imaging showed that my dog’s trachea wall appeared thinner, which could indicate a risk of collapse. After several unsuccessful attempts to refill the prescription at my local CVS, I was instructed to contact Bloomington Drug and Gift. Listen to the reviews. This place is a joke. They stay in business because they are one if the few compounding pharmacies around. I have been with them over a year and every time I get a refill they say they will call. They never do. They not once called to tell me a prescription is ready. So this time I asked the person on the phone to give me an idea of timeframe because I live 25 min from the pharmacy and need to plan the time to come get it. She kept saying they would call. I said that they have never called and they say the will every time- which is fine because I know they are busy but I’d just like an idea when to expect it. If you don't mind waiting forever for your prescriptions and poor service then this is the place for you! My cat was recently diagnosed with cancer. Our vet called in a prescription in for a medication that we need before we can start further treatment. This was on 2/23/26. We didnt hear from the pharmacy that they recieved the prescription so we called the following day on 2/24/26. Whoever we talked to claimed that they had called the day of receiving the rx, but we didnt have a missed call or voicemail. I'm assuming they lied about trying to call because every other time they've called there has been no issues. I called again on 2/25/26 to check the status of our prescription and was told it was going to be 4 - 5 more days to be prepared. I told them to just go ahead and cancel it beca

First off, their phone system is TERRIBLE. My fiancé recently had surgery and I had to call to get some information on when the prescription would be available to pick up as I had not gotten a message or call from the pharmacy on estimated time. I was on hold for 32 MINUTES when I called the first time. When the girl answered, I was then transferred to the compound pharmacist as he had more information than she did. As SOON as the male pharmacist said “Hello”, I wasn’t given even a second to respond before he HUNG UP ON ME!!. So I called back again, this time on hold for 27 minutes! The same girl answered and I told her that the pharmacist had hung up on me and she was very apologetic and would get the info herself! She put me on a very brief hold (3-4 minutes) and told me it would be done
