Blackstone Valley Health and Rehabilitation

I don't know anything about St. Camillus Hospital, but my Dad is in Blackstone Health and I have nothing but good things to say about them. He has only been there a few weeks, but I have been impressed by the care and attentiveness of the staff. It's a nursing home, so I don't expect luxurious living, but I have no complaints about the care and attention he is getting.

Today..I visited a dear elderly friend of mine, who has lived here for a long time .. She has had the same elderly roommate for the past couple of years, who became her good friend.. she cared for that roommate, talked w/ her, helped her like her own sister. I feel compelled to tell you - how disgusted I am that my friend came back to her room today - to find her roomate’s bed VACANT , and NOT from her passing away..< finding out> she was only being moved to another room, WITHOUT Blackstone having the decency , respect, BASIC common courtesy or elder compassion of informing my friend of this life impactful shock of this move. *Really despicable behavior & cruel to do to a frail elderly person.. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to leave your loved one in a place that feels like a chaotic group project run by people who didn’t read the instructions—welcome to Blackstone Valley Health & Rehab. The administrator clearly thinks leadership means being dense, dismissive, and just a little sexist for flair. The few employees who actually do their jobs? Completely overlooked. Most staff seem like they’d rather be anywhere else, and honestly, who could blame them? Things go missing, patients are neglected, and I was threatened for politely asking for extra care. Five stars for dysfunction. Zero for everything else.

If I could give zero stars I would. I used to love this place. I'm a nurse and very very picky about long term care and healthcare in general. My grandmother was doing well. I was happy with her care. But her room is at the end of the hallway and there is a man that goes in and out of her room as he pleases. My family has been told multiple times over the past SEVERAL MONTHS that she was going to get moved to a different floor yet that hasn't happened nor is it a priority. We've also been told that staff would keep him out of her room. Yet he still continues to go into my grandmother's room and apparently staff doesn't care. So if you want your family member to go somewhere safe, this isn't the place. I will make sure that everyone I know in healthcare knows how horrible and unsafe this pl

Blackstone Valley Health and Rehabilitation is located in Whitinsville, beautiful grounds with patios, flowers and sitting areas. The rehabilitation team is filled with staff who are kind and compassionate. The nurse management team is top notch, they have worked together for many years. Dietary and the activities department are very accommodating. I highly recommend you go tour any facility, this gives you the opportunity to see the building, and talk to the team and see the building in action! This facility has gone from a one star facility to a three star facility on CMS nursing home compare with in the last 2 years.
