My non-verbal autistic son had an accident and fell, splitting his chin. He needed stitches urgently. I was very lucky that it happened around noon, the waiting room was not very crowded and we were taken back very quickly. Since this is not a children’s hospital, I was a little worried at first. I am a NICU nurse myself, so I pay close attention to how medical staff interact with children, especially children with special needs. I want to say how impressed I was with the entire team. Dr. Joshua Adamow, Lauren Renee Diehl, PA, and RN Georgia worked together confidently and professionally, each person knowing exactly their role in helping my son. What meant the most to me was that they spoke directly to my son and acknowledged him, instead of ignoring him as often happens even in pediatric
I hate to rate any portion of this hospital poorly as in the past and even currently I receive amazing care. But the Er has become appalling in their care. To begin I have to explain I have a chronic pain condition that when it flares it is the worst pain you can imagine. Night before last I came in bc my back was in severe pain and nothing I could take did anything. Dr Rainer came in, was curt and spent maybe five minutes with me, giving me pain medication and a steroid shot. Sent me home with a steroid prescription. However he failed to tell me that it would probably raise my blood sugar (I am a diabetic). Last night my blood sugar spiked dangerously high so I go back in. And it’s Dr Rainer again and he tells me, for the first time, that he thought that could happen. But that steroid
I see other reviews here and I wonder if we had a better experience because they knew I was nurse manager with another network? It appears that the ER needs some work, according to the reviews. Regardless, it should be looked into and addressed because every patient should get equally, great care no matter where they are in the hospital. + First impressions. My wife had surgery here and stayed on the (8th floor) women's surgical floor. We had thoughtful, helpful and kind nurses. Although, one nurse in particular didnt even do a physical assessment (on a surgical patient) and didn't really check on her but 3 times overnight. 😕 That was disappointing. BUT the nurse aides were spectacular!! 😁 The accommodations!! Oh my! They don't pull punches. Valet service?! 🫨 Beautiful hositpal but not eas
My 82 year old father was seen February 27 approximately around 2:30 am and the staff had him in the hall in extreme pain needing a hip replacement. When he had him urinate I'm a bottle with no assistance and he urinate all over himself. He does have some dignity and to feel helpless is unacceptable. When I arrived with questions I was ignored while they were on their phones. I asked for.a pillow and I myself was disregarded along with questions regarding pain meds and a simple cup of water I understand it must be. Difficult position to hold however I feel they should have staff that can handle these types of situations with a little concern and empathy I will never visit this emergency room and will steer friends and family to go elsewhere . He was admitted to the hospital and a much mor
Went in evening. Didn’t have the initial long wait to go back. Staff was friendly. Doctor was a bit short and insensitive with some serious news though. Someone took us out to car, very friendly and understand it was not even his job. We were waiting a long time for someone to come for us. They didn’t. So he helped us
