Beautiful Savior Nursing Home

My brother was a resident for 8 months and was well cared for. The staff were awesome; too many to name them all. The majority have worked there several years and were always helpful and attentive. We will miss them. They made my brother feel at home with high fives and smiles and jokes. The facility is being updated, which it needed, but the staff are the best!!

My husband has been a resident at Beautiful Savior since June of this year. During this time my husband has received outstanding care from the Therapy Department and Medical Staff. I would like to recognize two associates with their in-depth knowledge, which has provided exceptional support for my husband and they are truly an asset to the Beautiful Savior organization. The two associates are truly outstanding in supporting procedures and guidelines....Alicia Landsman, Business Office Manager and Ammie Swearingen, Assisted Director of Nursing. I am current resident at B.S.N.H. I read the reviews. People have a miss conception of what Nursing Homes are and do. They operate like a hospitals. I've been to 6 nursing homes on the KC area and my opinion BSNH is one of the Best! A lot of staff have over 5 yrs. 2 that I know of over 30 yrs. The food is great and there is always a wide range of substitutions if needed. The main thing, should you have a complaint is to tell the appropriate person!!! Ultimately Jen. The Administrator's Door is always open and wants to hear from you. She double dips as a nurse on the weekends to get a feel of how her home works. Not perfect but well above the completion. As a hospice nurse l, I have been to many nursing homes and long term care and assisted living facilities. This facility exceeds expectations. Long term team members- exceptional care and they partner and communicate so well with Hospice. We work together for our mutual patients and families - a true multidisciplinary team. I highly recommend this community for their loved ones. I know I would trust them with my loved ones care.

I wished I could have given 0 stars. PLEASE, PLEASE do not put your loved one in this facility. Our loved one was transferred to this facility from the hospital for rehabilitation. She was confined to a bed/wheelchair following two strokes. She required assistance with meals and bathing. However, there were several instances where her needs were not met the short time she was there. In one instance, we waited 45 minutes after using the call button to request assistance. The staff completely ignored her need for help. We had to roam the halls to find someone which still took them another 10-15 minutes to come into her room. Thank goodness we were there to get her help. I would hate to think what might have happened had we not been there. She was totally ignored and neglected in this facili
