Baystate Women’s Health Ob/Gyn - Springfield

Just like other reviews I have read here, I too followed Dr. Tang from Valley Women’s and was told I would be a priority because I was already a patient of hers. I called in September 2024 as instructed and tried to make an appointment for my 2025 annual exam. I was told there was no availability and I was put on a waiting list. Called again in December and was told I was still on the list but moving up on it. Called again in July to see if I needed any paperwork for my mammogram. They said I didn’t and to go ahead and have the results sent to Dr. Tang. Asked again if I was still on the wait list and I was assured I was. We’re now in 2026 and it will be 2 years without a GYN exam come May. Even my primary care said she was hearing this same type of story from other women who were formerly

Currently 33 weeks pregnant and I couldn’t be happier with every step of my experience with the staff at Baystate Women’s/Wesson Women’s. From the nurses and doctors to the assistants and secretaries and even the women running the birthing classes, everyone has been beyond kind and professional. I’ve truly not had a bad interaction and I always leave there feeling so well taken care of. I’ve seen CNP Patience and Doctor Thompson the most and cannot say enough good things about them, but on the random day I see someone new they’re always great too. And whenever I call the office with a question, the nurses that get back to me are awesome and helpful. Loving my experience so far, thank you!

I have never had a bad experience here AND I am a nervous person! They were so nice during pre pregnancy, pregnancy, and after. They’re very informed (especially DR Kattan, and I don’t do male doctors). I like it when things are explained to me and Dr Barker does that too. She’s the one who told me about the breast pump through insurance. Yes private pay and state do it. Always friendly! If you are a nervous nelly like me go to 3300 Main St

Unable to get an appointment, been trying since oct 27th and have called back 5 times with little more than a "we will get to you bro, we promise". Denying a pregnant woman care in the MOST crucial time during pregnancy with the highest rate of miscarriage even when they know I was high risk last time. Have you people no shame? Now Ive been waiting on hold for almost an hour just to get my medical records xferred to somewhere that actually gives a crap? SHAME!!!

I too was a patient of Valley Women also was told “you are on waiting list.” When Valley Medical closed made it sound like it would not be problem to transfer care. I was patient of Dr. Tang absolutely loved her. Here we are almost two years later waiting to be seen, still on waiting list.
