Just got out with my almost 2 year old. I have to say we received excellent care from once we went into the pediatric ER, all through our stay on 4th floor. Everyone was so caring and attentive, it really made me feel at ease and that we were in the right place. I couldn't have asked for better care for my daughter.

My son ended up in the pediatric ICU and his condition was worsening. The PICU gave us this unbelievable feeling of strength, unity, support, and understanding. The amazing nurses and staff allowed us the opportunity to experience and work through our emotions in order to be strong for our son. Each team member put in maximum effort to help get our son healthy and made us know that failure wouldn’t be an option. There is something to be said about individuals who strive to make such a difference. Me and my family couldn’t be more grateful for every staff member in the PICU and the team will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Absolutely terrible . Brought my 4 year old child in for post surgery issues. Had to wait in a hallway bed listening to people scream like they were getting murdered. Scaring my child even more than they already were to get treatment. On top of that we were not check on for over an hour and we were there for pain, concern of dehydration and not being able to take meds. No one checked on her. No one inquired. I’m aware that in hospitals and ers you need to wait and there are usually many people but this was just unnecessary and inhumane . There are doctors and nurses just walking around in the back on their phones like there’s all the time in the world and like kids aren’t hurting and in need of urgent help. My child was in pain and had to sit for hours with no help. I asked the doctor who

My daughter was seen overnight, right around shift change. Despite having worked a long night, every single nurse was caring and compassionate towards my daughter. The doctors took time to listen to my concerns and respond to me in a manner that was understandable. I've never had this experience at an adult ER. Thanks to them and their quick action, my daughter is now much more happy and comfortable.

When I arrived with my child, we were directed where to park, where to go in, and were immediately checked in. We spoke with a nurse a moment later, then within 2 minutes, went through triage and were sent to a private room. There was no wait time and all of the staff were courteous and friendly, offering smiles to my little one. Once in the room, we were kept informed of what was happening, why we were waiting at different stages, and what next steps could be. We were discharged after treatment in a reasonable amount of time. All around a positive experience and by far the best I’ve had in western mass emergency care for children!
