Baystate Chestnut Surgery Center

I recently had an ablation because of atrial fibrillation. Dr. Bhagat, the cardiologist, Mike the anesthesiologist, and the whole nursing staff were very kind and helpful, bringing me through the process. I especially want to thank nurse Lauren for helping me through a minor complication post-surgery.

On 12/6/24, l had surgery and the staff was terrific. Michael Murray is a down to earth, very professional and personable. Karen, who also escorted me to the surgery room was also fantastic and kept me at ease. Lynsey is without a doubt an absolute asset to Baystate. She is so down to earth, kind, professional, knowledgeable and was able to insert the IV into my arm the first time. I didn’t even feel it. Usually it takes a nurse two or three times to insert it since l have been told my skin is like leather. She should be a trainer in all different phases or aspects of being a nurse. I would definitely ask to have her for any of my future surgeries.

I accompanied someone to a surgery here and just wanted to share how positive it went, in case anyone else was anxious like I was! Even from check in, everyone was helpful and friendly. Parking is very easy, the wait times were fast, and every single person I interacted with was helpful, kind, and calming. Pre op and post op were great—everyone was communicative and it made a very stressful day as low stress as possible. I am especially thankful to Sabrina in PACU, who was so supportive, knowledgeable, and kind! I was really not sure what to expect because I’d never been in surgery or taken someone, and it was a great experience all around. Thank you!

I had orthopedic surgery yesterday and had a great experience! The staff and providers were all friendly, comforting and respectful. They explained everything going on and we're so kind and caring. I can't say enough good things. I would never hesitate to be treated at Baystate.

Just had surgery here today and YALL HAD ME SO NERVOUS in these reviews omg I thought I was gonna die walking in here but no like at all the receptionist was a little funky but the nurses were all really nice (and greys anatomy pretty) every surgeon is different the anesthesiologist had a really cool accent (I know that doesn’t matter but it did to me she sounded smarter) I felt super comfortable and honestly don’t even remember the mask going on my face! They handled my non sensitivity to anesthesia perfectly post op was awesome super clear instructions (but this has to do with the surgeon you choose) also the place was really nice super clean!
