Baylor Scott & White Urgent Care - Southlake

I was able to get in at my scheduled appointment time and front office staff was friendly and professional. I was very comfortable with the nurse and PA. My blood pressure was high so they checked it again before I left. The PA discussed how DayQuil could be what was causing it to be elevated. An antibiotic was prescribed, I felt PA did a great job explaining why it could be a sinus infection. I didn’t feel like the PA was rushing me through, she took time to evaluate the current medications I was on as well as other conditions which would dictate what was the best medication that I could take. I felt comfortable with the experience and the staff at this facility. I would definitely come back. Thanks

Healthcare is an unfortunate part of life. I avoid it more than I avoid family (and I avoid family a LOT!) But when I have an ailment and seek out medical treatment, my first choice in the DFW area is always Baylor, Scott & White. My recent visit to their Urgent Care facility in Southlake was even better than I anticipated. From the initial interaction with the front desk staff – both at the family care center where they directed me to the correct floor, and at the Urgent Care office itself, to the medical staff who treated me, and then to the check-out desk staff who cleared me out; I cannot describe how awestruck I was by the all-around fabulous service. Charged me incorrectly for my insurance then charged $100 for a covid test then when I called my insurance about it then said it’s just how they code the office visits. So it ended up costing me double what my copay is. Then they wanted to refuse to give me a 7 day doctors note because my companies HR department called them and said they didn’t need to give out 7 day doctors notes when I couldn’t even take the medicine prescribed to me to treat my condition and even return to work. Then the doctor tells me the hospital supervisors are the ones working with my companies HR department. I’m sorry I didn’t realize HR departments knew what was best for patients and I didn’t realize hospitals listen when I’m the one paying them. Staff and the doctor were very kind. Great bedside manner from the provider. Once I was back, everything was done in a timely manner. I checked beforehand online to see if there was a wait and it said none. I got there and was 3rd in line and still only had to wait a few minutes.

The staff and medical folks were fine, took time and personal interest in my issue. Just wonder why URGENT care is up stairs, down the hall, around the corner and at the end of the hall …..instead of right at the automated doors downstairs???? Inconvenient! I was just imagining if someone had a broken leg or something like that. It’d be very difficult for them to get to the “urgent“ care..
