Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - College Station

I do not recommend taking your baby to the emergency room at Scott & White Hospital in College Station. I understand that placing an IV in a baby is difficult, and I respect that it requires skill and patience. However, our experience was extremely distressing and felt very unprofessional. The staff initially chose one arm without checking both arms for the best vein. My baby was held down for about 10 minutes before the nurse even had her supplies fully prepared. After attempting that arm and saying they couldn’t find a vein or get blood, they moved to the second arm and immediately commented that it was “an amazing vein,” which was frustrating considering they hadn’t assessed both arms beforehand. I'd like to commend all the nurses especially Connie, for taking excelent care of my daughter. I would also like to recognize the meal staff for the extra tray of food they unselfishly provided me considering how expensive food is now a days. It was wholesome and tasty and greatly appreciated. 🙏

We have delivered both at CHI Saint Joseph and then just had our son at Scott and White and we are very pleased with our stay. All of the doctors and nurses were fantastic In labor and delivery. The hospital was very clean and housekeeping came in 2 to 3 times a day. The food was very tasty to be hospital food. We will recommend Scott and White over and over!

The OR manager Monica was extremely rude and unprofessional to an employee when my cousin went in for her surgery as well as the surgical tech Jen. Jen was rude to my cousin and extremely unsanitary. This is completely unprofessional. I do not recommend this place at all. I will be contacting the National board of surgical technology and surgical assisting. As well as reporting these employees to Texas Health and Human services. 10/10 do NOT RECOMMEND. Get it together!

I will say this. I previously did a contract at the facility and I will say you all need to do some training with your ER nurses on understanding they never know who they’re speaking to. Today I was light headed, throwing up blood, and it felt like I was almost dying. The wait wasn’t too long. When I got to the back, there was a heavy set caucasian nurse with a red bob who had their badge covered up & a young caucasian nurse with long curly hair. Upon trying to check my temperature, I start spitting up blood. I tell the young RN, that I’m feeling light headed and feel like I could pass out. The kind young lady informs heavy set. She says, “That’s fine, you’re in a chair”. Me & the young RN looked at each other & then she went to get me a wheelchair. Long story short, I’m letting it slide b
