Dr. Ashwath provided outstanding health care to me. He listened to my concerns diagnosed my issues and proceeded with appropriate medical attention. He immediately gained my confidence when he was honest about my health issues and developed a treatment plan that has been successful to date. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Ashwath listens to what I have to say and explains everything clearly. I am so happy to find such a great doctor. His staff is super friendly and very helpful. 5 stars! UPDATE: Zero complaints about Dr. Ashwath but took away two stars for the difficulty I've had getting the staff to respond to my important requests regarding medication and lab work. I have spoken to them 4 times (once in person after my visit, once via phone where I got no answers and was transferred to someone else who was not available, and left two voice mails that were not returned) and it's going on 2 weeks now.

Having recently learned of family history of colon cancer, I presented my concerns and symptoms to Dr Ashwath. Immediately, I was accommodated for a colonoscopy in which a very large precancerous polyp was removed and biopsied. Most of all, Dr Ashwath's professionalism, gentle temperament, and genuine concern to my needs gave me confidence and reassurance. As a healthcare professional myself, I have high expectations for quality patient care. Office staff was very caring, patient, and thorough with instructions, education, and documentation. I am thankful for the care received and highly recommend Dr Ashwath.

Dr. Ashwath might be a good doctor, but the service offered by Bay Area Advanced Gastroenterology is very disappointing and terrible. There has never ever been any follow-up to check on the patient's well-being after a procedure. If the patient tries to setup a follow-up instead, never gets any call back or timely response. I had a procedure done on Jan 16th, 2023, by Dr. Ashwath, been having complications since the procedure was done. To make sure there is nothing serious going on and to get some advice to handle this complication, have called multiple times to talk to the nurse or get advice from the doctor, with no response till date. After constant running around for last 2-weeks, finally I was given a tele-appointment for 4:15pm for today (2/07/2023). The lady who set the appointment

The day following my "routine" colonoscopy by Dr. Ashwath at the Brandon Surgery Center, one of the clips came off. The result was massive internal bleeding and an ambulance ride to Tampa General. I was there for over 3 days, and out of work for a week. My wife also missed work due to my hospital stay. In spite of this, my lost pay, and hospital and ambulance copays - these guys not only continue to try to insist that this is "normal," they continue to bill me for the co-pay for the procedure. Dr. Ashwath's office even billed me $37 for a telephone consult following the hospitalization where I had to explain to him what had happened! Wow! Unless you think this is "routine" and the type of care you expect from a medical professional, do not go to this doctor or this Surgery center.
