I had the most unfortunate interaction with the office manager Siobhan. She was having conversations on speaker phone, during visiting hours, while I was waiting with my son who wasn’t well. When I asked her to please get off speaker phone, the most unprofessional interaction I have ever had followed as she raised her voice at me, and said as the office manager she decides what is acceptable. She also did not hesitate to shout in front of my child, which to me was the most unacceptable part of the entire incident. She needs to know that patients choose medical practices on the credentials of physicians and not on who is the office manager. And for this reason, after having been a patient for 9 years, bringing all 3 of our children there, we will move to another medical practice. I would

I would really love to give them a glowing review but their service and attention to detail has really gone downhill including the attitude that the front desk gives the patients. All three of my children have been patients there since they were born. We made trips there while living in New Jersey because of how wonderful Dr Morrissey was with them. For the first time, we are considering finding a pediatrician in New Jersey.

Of the several downtown pediatrician options, we selected Battery Park Pediatrics back in 2015 when my first son was born. While we highly recommend all of the Drs in the practice, as they each have their strengths (homeopathic remedies, directness, efficiency etc), we have been seeing Dr. Morrissey most consistently. She is a good listener, patient, thoughtful and takes her time with each patient and you never feel rushed. And she welcomes all your questions to ensure you feel equipped upon leaving her office. I recently just had my 3rd baby and continue to bring now the whole family of kids to this office. Highly recommend this practice!

Battery Park Pediatrics has had extremely helpful doctors over the years. This year my son had a few health issues that we couldn't figure out, and Dr. Melissa Morrissey was amazing and attentive to all of our concerns. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about my son's situation. I was touched at how she went above and beyond by explaining what was happening. I felt like someone was finally taking the time to help us understand. Now my fourteen years old and I feel at ease that we have enough information to find a solution. We are so grateful for Dr. Melissa Morrissey.

This review is for Dr. Melissa Morrissey. She is a kind hearted doctor who listens and who speaks from experience of having children herself. She focuses on behavioral cues which really helped me with my newborn. It is hard to find a pediatrician who does not go by just textbook material or common belief. She is a genuinely good person I believe, which even my newborn baby picks up because her voice and presence calms my baby down every visit and my baby falls asleep in the exam room :) The wait time could be long so account for extra time if you have places to be, but it is well worth it. Front desk people are also nice.
