Baptist Health Urgent Care | Tamiami Trail

I had a very good experience at Baptist Health Urgent Care on Tamiami Trail today. The staff was professional, kind, and attentive from check-in to discharge. The provider took the time to listen to my symptoms and explain the treatment clearly, which made me feel confident and cared for. The clinic was clean, organized, and the process was smooth without a long wait. I truly appreciate the level of care and recommend this urgent care to anyone needing quick and compassionate medical attent

My nurse, Jose, and my physician, Dr. P., we're quick and efficient, but didn't sacrifice human connection. They were incredibly kind and sympathetic, and listened to everything I had to say, validating my feelings and symptoms. When I had to call to see if they could add another medication to my prescription order, the front desk attendee took care of it and Jose called me back promptly to let me know Dr. P. approved it. Even on the phone, they were kind and efficient!

When I arrived at the clinic, there were only three patients ahead of me, all being seen for flu-related symptoms. Despite this, I waited for over an hour to have an X-ray performed. After the prolonged wait, a nurse asked whether anyone had taken me to the X-ray room and then discovered there was an issue with the order or billing code. This issue was never explained to me, nor was I informed at any point during the waiting period that there was a problem preventing the X-ray from being completed. Unfortunately, the clinic closed at 9:00 p.m., which left me unable to complete the X-ray or seek care elsewhere. Today’s visit was highly efficient from check in to testing to treatment. Ms. Cooper, the PA was amazing. This is the urgent care I visit when I need to and today was an outstanding visit. Thank you!
