Baptist Health Urgent Care - Charlestown Road

We were visiting from across the country during the holidays when we all came down with strep. Staff was friendly except for the care provider who did information intake. Daughter’s lungs were wheezy and they didn’t listen for lung sounds despite my daughter stating she had a cough and upper respiratory symptoms. (They only swabbed her throat because she said she was exposed to strep and her throat was sore.) We ended up going back to the clinic the same day because the lung sounds became worse. They did order an x-ray on the second visit. I could hear someone in the background complaining that my daughter didn’t state she had wheezing in her lungs during the first visit. (They would have clearly heard it if they had actually listened for lung sounds at the first visit.) We are home now a

I came in today after dealing with full, stuffy ears and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Cassidy, the Physician Assistant, and her team, made the ear wax removal process so easy and gentle. That was the easiest and smoothest ear procedure I have ever had done and I've had that procedure done at least a half dozen times. I will definitely be back. Thank you so much, Cassidy and team!

Would never return here again. The women who took vitals were professional and competent. Everyone else including the PA were condescending and arrogant( you don't see an MD, there are PA’s there making educated guesses and their decisions are influenced by what they hear) . The front desk staff is quick to respond and are very dismissive. And nowadays no one seems to know anything! No one wants to do their job, they like to pass things off to someone else. My work letter was incorrect, and my medication was sent to the wrong pharmacy. One thing they all knew about was collecting the copay!

I easily set up an appointment via my chart. I arrived 15 min before I was told them I would arrive. Everyone was courteous and I didn't have to wait very long before I was taken to an exam room. The NP Cassidy was very attentive, she prescribed a medicine and took the time to explain what other medicines I could and should not take with her prescription. In all my years, that was the first time some did that.

My son was seen for a sore throat and congestion. He was tested for strep, which was negative, and given the diagnosis of “viral sore throat”. I called to inquire why nothing else was tested and was told, “because he didn’t ask”. It is flu and covid season, he’s eighteen years old and not a medical professional. He should not to ask for good medical care.
