Baptist Health Surgery | Kendall (Baptist Hospital)

Disappointed with surgery scheduling and billing from surgery center. Called the day before to tell me to come in at 10am then called later to come in at 7am as my slot was changed. I get there at 7am only to wait over 6 hours until I am seen. When checked in, I am told I owe money but what they charge is not what I was quoted. I tell them that but they say to not worry as I will be billed for the rest later. I was rushed to digitally sign this document and pay as other patients are lining up behind me for their appointments. I try to ask later while waiting around about this billing but they tell me that they don't do the billing, they just check people in and charge whatever is sent to them from billing. It took months to schedule this, I was not able to just walk out and really thought

I called in July to make an appointment for my ganglion cyst that I set up for September 13th, 2 days before my appointment date I was told that the doctor I had the appointment with doesn’t handle these types of cases that I would need a hand/wrist specialist…. which I understand but, why wasn’t I told this months ago?if I had known sooner I would’ve made the necessary steps to prevent wasting my time.

My daughter had Emergency surgery by Dr.Ruiz which is an excellent surgeon. We just left for our follow up and the attention and time he gave us was very good. I highly recommend this physician and Baptist as a whole.
