Aylo Health - Pediatrics at Ellenwood

My daughter had a UTI. Diagnosed by a urine culture that was positive on 12-31. I didnt receive a call back or an order for medicine untill I left several messages and complained until 1-5. I had to pay another MD to give her medicine after she began spiking fevers and I discovered the positive culture on the 1-2. I was told by the office manager that cultures are not considered to be emergent labs. I work in the medical field and positive cultures of anything are a red flag. People can die from sepsis. This was at the main office in Ellenwood but I was told that Dr. Clayton sees patients at this location also. Extremely disappointed and I am still waiting for a call back to see how they will prevent this in the future. I would like to protect other children from this type of neglect and l

I agree with one of the other comments that the office staff appears unprofessional. I am a federal employee therefore I carry federal insurance. I tell the receptionist this and that I have NALC Insurance through the Cigna Network. That if you accept Cigna the practice normally accepts my insurance. Mahalea doesn’t due diligence to confirm and then presumes my son has Medicaid and indicates they don’t accept. She then tells me to confirm w/insurance company. I clarify that it’s through my employer. I call my insurance company and they confirmed they do accept my insurance. Normally, a practice would call the number or run the ID number to confirm however she puts it on me. To me that’s unprofessional and never experienced presumption about having Medicaid. Dr.Hernandez is so sweet and attentive to what my child has going on. This was our first time coming into this office and I left very satisfied I look forward to future visits, and I definitely recommend to other parents 😊

Dr. Hernandez made my daughter feel very comfortable she answered all my questions. She was very knowledgeable and friendly as well as the nurse that did her vitals all the staff was very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this office to other parents you will not be disappointed.

My daughter had her first visit today with Dr. Hernandez, and we both loved it! She is very professional and knows her stuff. The office is clean and bright and the staff is extremely nice and accommodating. I'm so happy that we have found our new pediatrician!
