Extremely unprofessional when I called. Hung up on me almost immediately. Would recommend any of the other boutique pharmacies in the city like Fancy or Manhattan Apothecary or Village Apothecary or Pasteur Pharmacy or ProHealth Pharmacy

I definitely agree with the other reviewers that Avalon does provide great customer service to their customers in store. The gentlemen that is stationed in the front counter are very friendly, helpful, and transparent about fees you have to pay. Avalon is also very honest when it comes to the status of filling your medications anytime you call them to follow up. You may be wondering why I have this pharmacy 2 stars instead of 5. I gave them a two star rating because they do a poor job at calling clients to let them know that their medications are ready for pickup. Every pharmacy that I have been to does this with all of their clients. I feel that letting patients know that their medicine is ready for pickup is a standard. I am so glad that I found Avalon Chemists! The pharmacists are easy to reach via email and coordinate any pre-authorization requests. It's incredibly easy to order refills through their website AND they offer free delivery. I can't understand why anyone would go to a large chain pharmacy when you get service like this at a locally-owned business.
