Aspirus Family Walk-In

Kay Lockwood was the most understanding and compassionate provider I have ever seen. I felt more heard about my issues than I’ve ever felt by any provider. She welcomed my questions, complimented my want to understand in depth why I was having certain health issues, and gave me so many great tools, recommendations and information. I’ve never waited longer than 20-30 minutes at this location in all my visits, and every provider I have seen has been amazing. Kay just went above and beyond. She requested more tests and labs than I had ever envisioned, I was ready to be brushed off when I walked in. It was incredibly reassuring. Dave PA was knowledgeable & explained things well. The nursing staff was kind & professional. The receptionist was welcoming. The facility was easy to access from the interstate. Overall very good experience. :-)

Wasn’t going to leave a review about this because it was a few years ago, but I have heard of others having similar issues. In early 2024 I had arrived at the walk-in clinic around lunch hour, and when I wasn’t able to get in over my lunch, I was forced to go back to work. Before I had left the walk-in clinic, I had let the front desk lady know that I was leaving and to take me off the wait list. After work I had returned around 5pm. I was dizzy, had symptoms of a migraine or something similar to a sinus infection (lots of face/head/neck pressure), what felt like a fever, body aches, sore throat, and even my apple watch was giving me notifications that my heart rate was unusual and “too high for being at a resting rate/not moving”—because I was sitting down. I had a great experience at the walk-in yesterday. I felt very believed by my physician, Valerie Federwitz. She was also helpfully informative and compassionate.

I was at the Aspirus Walk in today and was very pleased with my experience. I was treated with caring, knowledgeable, professionalism. The receptionist, nurse and P.A. we're all excellent and thorough.
