Ascension Via Christi Weight Management in Manhattan

I have lost nearly 20 pounds since starting the weight loss program earlier this year. It has been a game changer for me. The staff are all wonderful. However, the automatic text messaging to remind me of appointments is annoying because it's excessive. Also, I have an account with Visa Christi where I get messages from my PA. I guess it's not all inclusive as I couldn't download my lab results on my account. Also it is not very user friendly. I get all my medical care other than this at the KU Medical Center and I can access everything in MyChart. Via Christi may want to look into something like that system. It has upcoming visits, my medication list, I can text and ask questions of all my doctors, they can look up results from other providers visits etc. It's great!! Other than that, I'

Dr. Fisher is absolutely amazing. I never feel like I’m asking too many questions or like I’m in a rush to get through my appointments. She’s ver knowledgeable and makes sure I understand terminology and what my next steps are. Office staff and the intake nurse is very friendly. Dr. Fisher is a healthcare professional in a league of her own!

For weight loss management side: I have gastric sleeve back May 2023 and it has been a great experience. They did have a hiccup with getting a head nurse in there to get things moving and was behind on a few things back in late 2022 when I was waiting to do certain things but they stayed in contact and were very friendly. I was approved through the VA for surgery and they have worked with no headaches with the VA unlike some places who take forever on paperwork. Since they got Kate in there it's been great! And the surgeon is wonderful and informative! Overall very pleased with everything.

The appointment was timely. No wait time. They heard and listened to my concerns and offered suggestions. We discussed several options before deciding, which was the best. I was told to call with any questions. At any time. I easily scheduled my next appointment.
