Ascension St. Vincent Seton

I thoroughly believe this hospital killed my dad. He was out of the danger zone when transferred to Seton, he had beaten the odds of what the doctors gave him at St. Vincent Hospital ICU. They believed he wouldn’t make it out of the ICU and he did… but this facility was beyond horrible. If I could give them a 0 on professionalism, patient safety, patient care, and keeping family up to date on information I would. They didn’t do the things they promised to do for him to have better chances at a longer life. The care was disgustingly unacceptable. If you truly love your loved one don’t send them to Seton. I walked in to my dads room on several occasions with crap on his gown, dried up blood, trash on the floor, a smell, monitors going off for over an hour.

My mom had been moved to a few facilities. In comparison to the other facilities Seton had amazing PT. They showed up every day, with compassion & ready to help.

0 stars is not an option so i had to go with 1. This place is terrible! The care was below average and there was 0 communication! We live over 2 hours away so would visit 1 day a week but call every day. Most days we would get put on hold, if anyone even answered. When there was an answer, most nurses couldn't even answer our questions. I totally understand being busy and that my mom was not the only patient, but we should know what is going on, be able to check and rest easy knowing she is getting adequate (if not great) care. I would never choose this place again, not for a relative or an enemy! We learned the closest may not be the best option and now drive over 2 hours in a different direction. If you made it through my review, please do not send your loved one here!

I thought my SIL was getting good care. Since being at RHI I have realized that was NOT so. All they tried to do is get her off the trach. When it came to TX it was only the last week that she was there that they tried to do anything. If she didn't want to do it, they didn't make her. Mind you, she has a brain injury. She did weights just 1 time. They left her in bed all day. Only when you asked they would put her in a chair. When I pushed the nurses button & said she needs the bathroom I was told for her to go in the diaper. They told me a few times they didn't have the staff to put her on the toilet every time she had to go. She wound up with yeast infections, raw, sores, and a UTI. Then when she was cleaned up, instead of changing gloves the nurses would mess with her trach
