Really pleased with this practice and our pediatrician Dr. Amaio. We’ve had our 10 month old son here since we moved to Newport 6 months ago. We find the office in general easy to communicate with, especially the texting service they offer. Checking in is easy and pleasant when arriving for appointments, and we really like the quick-sick arrangement they have 8-9 pm daily, where you can just show up without an appointment, text the office from you car and they’ll let you know when it’s your turn to come in (be prepared to wait a while in you car if you show up closer to 9 than to 8; as this is probably a popular arrangement). I’m so sad to say that this practice has declined terribly in the past year or so. Quick Sick is not quick at all and takes many hours to have your child seen, yet getting an appointment isn’t easy either. Nurses must be overworked and tired because they have been extremely rude and refuse to give results of tests that your children have done. Once you go back and forth with a nurse asking questions and they get irritated with you, or heaven forbid you request a phone call back from a doctor (Don’t even bother anyways because they don’t call back!), You will get put on their list of people they just don’t like and sadly, your child’s care will suffer for it! This practice has gone so extremely downhill since Eldert left. Nurses are rude and lie about calling, have very little knowledge about illnesses and only parrot what the doctor has written in their chart and get angry when you ask for further details. If you dare to ask for a doctor to call you back, you won’t get it. I’ll sadly be leaving this practice after a decade and a half of my kids being there due to my child being withheld care because of a miserable nurse. I hope they really reevaluate where they’re at, soon.

This practice needs a serious review of their services. Quick sick is unreliable and enduring the wait times to discuss an issue on the nurse’s line can be a job in-and-of-itself. The waste of time “follow up call” if your child has to go to the ER DAYS later smacks of an admin task then the slightest care about the child’s wellbeing. The off-hours line has been sent out of state and those nurses provide inconsistent recommendations with no local knowledge of the viruses spreading, etc. It is quicker and more efficient to be seen at the Walk-in down the street if your child is over 18 months. Otherwise, good luck!

My children are patients of Dr. Robuck and I would definitely recommend her. She is very engaged with her patients and provides straightforward and intelligent guidance. She always speaks to directly to my children and I see how empowered this makes them feel about their health. The office is always super efficient and helpful, too. Overall, a great experience.
