Apple Valley Village Health Care Center

My review so far would be very poorly trained in pain management and I am not happy about that! The food is horrible! The room I am in is at least 95 degrees so it’s nearly impossible to feel comfortable. The beds are so uncomfortable!!!!!!

I am currently in the TCU here and it’s been an amazing experience. The staff is the most supportive and encouraging group of people I’ve met in a long time. They have been concerned and involved in every step of my recovery. I highly recommend this place!

My mom just stayed at the rehab facility for two weeks and thought the people there were absolutely fabulous and did a great job. She was very happy with her experience. Now she is rehabbing at home.

I absolutely would not bring your loved one here!!! They for sure have some great nurses and aids but my wife was in the rehab facility for almost two months and she was getting better...until she could not swallow and began to get dehydrated again. They falsely reported her intake...they would not send her to the hospital without their doctors order. Two weeks later she could no longer stand up...I couldn't understand what she was trying to say. On my last day when I arrived I could not wake her up and her eyelids were stuck shut. I had to get a warm washcloth and wipe her eyes until I could lift her eyelid. She was breathing but I could not wake her. I went to the Head Nurse and told her she was "unresponsive" and asked to get her to the hospital. She told me her vital signs were ok so

I recently was in Augustana HCC after a hospital stay. I was more than surprised at what I experienced. I have heard so much negative about nursing homes. Here the facility and staff are top notch. It is modern, clean and well maintained and, most of all, the nurses and aids were fantastic. My needs were well cared for and the staff anticipated many of my needs. They even treated the “grumpy old men” (and there were lots of them) with care and polite understanding. The cleaning staff were “Johnny on the spot”: I was amazed at how quickly and prompt they were at picking up and cleaning any mess. The food is good. I am not a connoisseur but was very happy with it. Each resident had an individual, but common, menu. The individual meals were tailored to each patients needs and desires.
