Animal Hospital of San Luis Obispo

My dog got into some medication, and I was struggling to find an emergency vet with availability to take her. I was extremely worried and felt helpless, thinking we might have to just wait and see what happened. After calling several places, AHSLO told me they could take her in. The team at AHSLO truly went above and beyond to provide care and support during a really stressful situation. I’m incredibly grateful to say my dog is doing much better now. Thank you all so much for what you do!!

I got a very mixed and complicated view on this clinic. Initially, I thought they were very friendly and helpful. At first, I brought one of my 2 cats in to get a checkup and discussed moving my cats abroad and needing certification to do so. When I inevitably brought my second cat in, the vet advised I needed a new microchip for her for certification purposes. They took her in to insert the chip. Some days later I brought the cat back in, and the new chip was nowhere to be found in the cat. They said it fell out. Rare, but possible. This deeply complicated my travel plans, I had to move everything back by 3 weeks to allow for new certification due to the microchip error. This was extremely costly to me. The clinic did comp some in-clinic costs related to their errors, but that did little

We love Dr. Z!! She is so patient and understanding with us and our two dogs. She gives you options so you can stay within a budget. The staff is super friendly as well.

A great experience for my Kitty Cat, "Lillian Keith", and me. They truly care about our fur babies. I highly recommend them.
