American Family Care Fort Oglethorpe

I booked an appointment and did the paperwork online. It was super simple! I could upload my insurance information through photos and there was no complicated check in process when I arrived. I was seen by a very nice female doctor. She had a fantastic demeanor and answered all my questions. I needed refills for some medication, as I’m not quite settled with a Primary doctor m. She had them immediately sent to my pharmacy after our visit! AND what I love is that they will be able to see me for monitoring in the future. I am definitely going back to see her and would recommend American Family Care in Fort Oglethorpe. The entire staff was great! It was a very positive experience and this coming from someone who doesn’t like having to go see a doctor.

Came here on a Saturday. One person in the lobby. I know people don’t want to work on the weekends but when you are scheduled to, act like it’s a normal day. Came in for possible flu/cold stuff and waited an hour. The chairs in the lobby are nasty, the material peals off. The staff was watching their phones and laughing behind the window. Don’t bring your kids here if they are sick. They will have to wait a long time. Unprofessional

After spending a few hundred dollars and two visits trying to get help for breathing issues, I’m leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. The service of the nurses, front staff, and wait time didn't bother me. They were attentive and the wait wasn't that bad What did bother me was how rushed both visits felt once I actually saw the doctor. During the first visit, the exam lasted less than five minutes. The doctor listened to my chest briefly, suggested a couple of diagnoses that didn’t really line up with how I was feeling, and told me to take over-the-counter allergy medication. I followed that advice and waited two weeks, but nothing improved. When I came back for a follow-up, the visit felt even shorter. I explained that I was still experiencing shortness of breath

Medical staff seem friendly and mostly helpful. Admin staff are a bit surly. Worse, they continuously balance bill without billing insurance as they said they would - even had the insurance carrier call them to tell them to stop billing us — but just got a third bill. Wouldn’t recommend the place

Negative 4 stars. Went in because my leg was swollen for unknown reasons at the time. $40 co-pay just to check my vitals.Doctor did not even examine my leg just said “ Go to a orthopedic specialist.” Had that doctor done tests and not been lazy he would have seen it was a bakers cyst.He didn’t touch my leg or do x-rays or anything. You guys owe me $40 dollars.
