Altru's Emergency Room

I’m hesitant when coming to emergency rooms because it feels like most times you get dismissed and not taken seriously but the few times I’ve been here throughout my pregnancy I’ve gotten some pretty great care among the staff. The doctor I had tonight took me very seriously and ran all possible tests and even brought in a specialized ultrasound tech to be able to give me a for sure diagnosis. I am very pleased with how I was treated especially with tonight. I’m aware not all doctors are compassionate and I’ve had a fair share of very rude ER docs but this emergency room tends to be pretty top notch. Thank you to the doctor I had tonight that listened to my concerns and didn’t use my generalized anxiety disorder on my chart as a reason to make me feel like I’m lying or freaking out for not

The wait was long, my issue wasn't that serious. Once I was seen though the er doctor was amazing. No judgement on her part. I did something stupid, she didn't make me feel that way. Fixed me up, lesson learned

My husband arrived at the emergency room at 11:00 pm. for a work accident. He works in the kitchen and had a severe cut on his finger. It's 5:20 a.m. and they still haven't treated his finger. They only moved him to a room at 3:00 a.m. The care and wait time are horrible. They're supposed to be dealing with emergencies.

You are better off driving to Fargo to Sanford. The wait time at this ER is always 3+ hours before you are even seen by anyone.

Staff was fine but wait time is awful. The new building was set up so patients would have access to more rooms which would mean less wait time. (I’ve been here for 3 hours in the waiting room).
