Allina Health Urgent Care – Apple Valley

I recently visited Urgent Care at Apple Valley Allina to rule out pneumonia, and I had a truly positive experience with the doctor there. The doctor was a great listener and really took the time to address all the issues I had during my visit. I felt heard and cared for, which made the experience much less stressful. They also prescribed the appropriate medicine for my conditions, which gave me confidence that I was receiving the right treatment. I highly recommend this urgent care location and commend the doctor for their attentive and professional care!

This was our first visit with my daughter, and the experience was frustrating from start to finish. At check-in, the front desk did not collect her insurance information. They just had me sign a paper and said we were good to go. I questioned it briefly, but at the time I was focused on getting my daughter seen. The nurse was not very patient and left us waiting in the room for over 50 minutes before we saw a doctor. It wasn’t even busy—the front desk told us there was no line when we checked in. We received no updates during the wait, while the nurses were loudly chatting and laughing at the nurse station. This Urgent Care moves people in and out quickly. This clinic has been a lot faster than other doctor's offices and other Urgent Care facilities. The staff are all friendly and the pharmacy on site is quick and convenient. We now come here for routine care and this will be our main Urgent Care. This has been a better experience than most Minute Clinics as well. We used to go to Park Nicollet Urgent Care in Burnsville and we were never seen without a 1-2 hour wait. Highly recommend!

Went in with a severe cut that was bleeding significantly, after two hours without even being triaged, I left. Sadly they provided no updates as to the delay or length of the wait time. In addition, the receptionist at the front desk appeared sicker than most the patients being seen, her cough was horrible and she should have been sent home. This visit was less than desirable, needless to say I will not be returning to this Urgent care location.

Not just my primary physician, but all the providers I've seen have been consistently really great. They always take time to review my chart before seeing me and relate my history to my current complaint. Very impressive! The reception staff are always friendly and greet patients with a smile. My wait time was less than 5 minutes! And I was notified by text my position in waiting for a room. I really like that option!
